Vegetable-Themed Saiyan Names: A Ready-Made List
If you would rather scan a list than press a button, here is one. Every row starts from a real vegetable and applies the same Saiyan-sounding endings the generator uses, so these are the exact names the tool can produce — two per vegetable, 88 in total.

Saiyan names are not gendered. Nothing in Toriyama’s rule splits them: Caulifla, Kale and Gine are women, Vegeta, Broly and Nappa are men, and all six are built the same way — vegetable in, hard consonants out. So the list above works for any character. If you want a name to read as heavier, pick the two-syllable forms; the longer ones sound more formal.
Toriyama’s Naming Rules, Reverse-Engineered
Akira Toriyama named almost everyone in Dragon Ball as a pun, and each race has its own theme. Saiyans are vegetables — the race name itself is an anagram of yasai, Japanese for vegetable. Namekians are instruments and snails (Namek comes from namekuji, slug). Frieza’s family runs on refrigeration, and the Majin line all comes from one Cinderella incantation. This generator follows those exact rules instead of producing generic fantasy names, so its output sounds like it belongs in the series.

Tips for Picking an OC Name
The best fan-character names pass the “shout test” — two syllables land harder in a fight scene (Broly, Cabba, Kale) while three-syllable names read more regal (Paragus, Caulifla). Keep the vegetable recognizable but not obvious: Kakarot is a better pun than “Carrot” because it bends the word just far enough. If you need a power level to go with the name, our Dragon Ball Z power level calculator covers every transformation from great ape to Ultra Instinct.
