Every Villager Trade, in One Interactive Chart
A static wall chart of Minecraft villager trades goes stale the moment you need a specific item — you scroll past twelve professions to find the one you want. This villager trading chart flips it around: tap a profession and it lays out all five levels at once, every trade shown as emeralds in and items out, with the offer chance where a trade is not guaranteed. Switch to Find an item and it answers the question you actually have — “which villager sells this?” — from a saddle to a Mending book.
Each profession is tied to exactly one workstation: a lectern makes a librarian, a composter a farmer, a grindstone a weaponsmith. Place that block beside an unemployed adult villager and it takes the job. Break and replace the block before the first trade to reroll the offers — the trick every trading hall is built on.
Which Villager Sells It?
Most searches boil down to a single item. Mending, the game’s most wanted enchantment, comes only from a librarian’s enchanted books — never an enchanting table — which is why librarian trading halls are the backbone of the late game. Saddles and name tags, both otherwise loot-only, are sold by the leatherworker and librarian respectively. The quick table below resolves the most-searched items to their profession; the tool’s search box covers the rest.
Enchanted Book Prices & the Librarian Reroll
A librarian’s enchanted book can roll almost any enchantment, and the emerald cost is set by the enchantment’s level, not its usefulness — so a level I book is cheap whether it is Efficiency or Mending. Treasure enchantments (Mending, Soul Speed’s siblings, Frost Walker) cost roughly double. Because a fresh villager rerolls its two book offers every time you break and replace its lectern before trading, the cheapest way to a Mending book is a novice librarian and a lot of patience.
Leveling, Restocking & Cheaper Trades
Villagers climb five levels as they trade — Novice, Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert and Master, at 0, 10, 70, 150 and 250 experience — unlocking new offers and, for the smiths, enchanted diamond gear at the top. Trades restock up to twice a day when the villager can reach its workstation, so keep the job block close and unblocked. For discounts, nothing beats curing a zombie villager: a Splash Potion of Weakness and a golden apple turn it back, and it remembers the favour with a permanent price cut on everything it sells.
